Tim Kennedy need just one good punch to get his fellow troops out of their seats and on their feet.

Kennedy’s precise left hand knocked out Rafael Natal in the first round of the main event at UFC Fight Night 31 in Fort Campbell. The knockout occurred at the 4:40 mark to give Kennedy his first knockout victory since 2007.  Kennedy is now 2-0 in the UFC, whereas, Natal dropped to 5-3-1.

Alexis Davis used her leg kicks to raise interest towards a title shot. She is now 2-0 in the UFC after unanimously beating Liz Carmouche who is now 1-2.

Yoel Romero defied his age by knocking out Ronny Markes in the third round. It was Romero’s seventh career fight and he is now 2-0 in the UFC. Markes is now 3-1 in the Middleweight division.

Rustam Khabilov is 3-0 after trading punches with Jorge Masvidal for fifteen minutes. Masvidal is now 2-1 in the UFC. Both fighters won a $50,000 bonus for “Fight of the Night.”

Michael Chiesa won “Submission of the Night” by tapping out Colton Smith in the second round. Chiesa’s rear-naked choke brought him to 3-1 in the UFC while Smith is now 1-2.
