Superkombat Final Tournament: Londt vs  Ciobanu, Adegbuyi vs Zhuravlev!

The winners of the eliminatory fights from SUPERKOMBAT® WGP 2012 Final Elimination will fight in the final tournament, scheduled on December 22nd. Sebastian Ciobanu, Ismael Londt, Benjamin Adegbuyi and Pavel Zhuravlev will try to win the big prize of the tournament, the brand-new Mitsubishi Pajero car.

In the first semifinal, Sebastian Ciobanu will fight against the SUPERKOMBAT® Heavyweight Champion – Ismael Londt and in the second semifinal, Benjamin Adegbuyi will face Pavel Zhuravlev.

Sebastian Ciobanu (Romania) vs. Ismael Londt (Suriname)

Sebastian Ciobanu – nicknamed “The Son of Dracula”, born on March 17th, 1985 (27 years old) is the K-1® WGP 2010 Bucharest runner-up and one of the most popular fighters from Romania. He started his professional career in 2005 at the middleweight division in Iasi (Romania), coached by Mihai Constantin from Cotnari Scorpions gym, but actually he is one of the most famous fighters from Romania at 95kg division. In his professional career he has recorded wins against the K-1® veterans, Mighty Mo (Knockout in Round 2), Dzevad Poturak (Unanimous Decision), Doug Viney (Unanimous Decision) and Petr Vondracek (Unanimous Decision). At the SUPERKOMBAT® WGP 2012 Final Elimination, Sebastian Ciobanu has won the eliminatory fight in front of Roman Kleibl (Czech Republic) via Majority Decision.

Professional kickboxing record: Total 32 fights – 23 wins (4 via knockout) – 9 losses (2 via knockout) – no draws

Ismael Londt – nicknamed “Mr. Pain”, born on November 14th, 1986 (26 years old) will meet again “The Son of Dracula” after in his debut in SUPERKOMBAT® WGP 2012 Third Qualification, scheduled on July 16th in Constanta (Romania), where he won via knockout in the third round and and has qualified for SUPERKOMBAT® WGP 2011 Final, scheduled on November 19th in Darmstadt (Germany). A powerfull puncher, Ismael Londt is also qualified for the K-1® WGP 2012 Final 8, scheduled on January. Actually, “Mr. Pain” is the SUPERKOMBAT® Heavyweight Champion and he has recorded wins against Sergei Lascenko (Unanimous Decision), Mourad Bouzidi (Knockout in Round 2), Pavel Zhuravlev (Split Decision), Freddy Kemayo (Split Decision) and Singh Jaideep (Unanimous Decision). At the SUPERKOMBAT® WGP 2012 Final Elimination, Ismael Londt has won the eliminatory fight in front of Daniel Sam (Great Britain) via Technical Knockout (Doctor Stoppage for Eye Injury) in Round 1.

Benjamin Adegbuyi (Romania) vs. Pavel Zhuravlev (Ukraine)

Benjamin Adegbuyi – nicknamed “Mr. Gentleman”, born on January 24th, 1985 (27 years old) to a Romanian mother and a Nigerian father, started his professional career last year in 2011 after he was discovered by the SUPERKOMBAT® President – Eduard Irimia at an tryout event. The newcomer of the year until now, “Mr. Gentleman” has won at the SUPERKOMBAT® WGP 2012 Third Qualification, scheduled on July 7th in Varna (Bulgaria) and after that he has been selected for the K-1® WGP 2012 Final 16, scheduled on October 14th in Tokyo (Japan), where he had the fastest knockout of the night against Jafar Ahmadi (Iran). In his short career he has recorded wins against Mladen Brestovac (Unanimous Decision), Dzenan Poturak (Knockout in Round 1) and Patrick Liedert (Knockout in Round 3). At the SUPERKOMBAT® WGP 2012 Final Elimination, Benjamin Adegbuyi has won the eliminatory fight in front of Sergei Lascenko (Ukraine) via Knockout in Round 3.

Professional kickboxing record: Total 16 fights – 14 wins (9 via knockout) – 1 loss (1 via knockout) – 1 draw

Pavel Zhuravlev – nicknamed “The Caiman”, born on July 29th, 1983 (29 years old) will fight for the second time in an SUPERKOMBAT® WGP Final tournament, after he los the semifinal against Ismael Londt at the SUPERKOMBAT® WGP 2011 Final, scheduled on November 19th in Darmstadt (Germany). “The Caiman” is disadvantaged at heavyweight division with his 95kg’s and 1.87m, but he have some very good skills. In his professional career he has recorded wins against Gokhan Saki (Unanimous Decision), Sergei Lascenko (Unanimous Decision) and Mourad Bouzidi (Unanimoius Decision). At the SUPERKOMBAT® WGP 2012 Final Elimination, Pavel Zhuravlev has won the eliminatory fight in front of Freddy Kemayo (France) via Unanimous Decision.
