RCM’s MMA Head Editor Sensei Palmejar fighting in 5th World Pangration Athlima Championship 2012

Athens, Greece–National Teams began to arrive in Greece for the 5th World Pangration Athlima Championships 2012. The Championship will be hosted at Eyrotas Lakonias 16-18 Nov. in Greece. Over 600 athletes will be participating and representing the 27 countries. Our own MMA Head Editor Sensei Phillip Palmejar of San Diego, CA will be participating in the world championship with team USA. Phillip is an ever evolving martial artist in both learning and instruction, most recently focusing on and obtaining his 2nd degree black belt in Greek Pankration Athlima under 8th Degree black belt Hanshi Roberto Serrano, Jr.
Through Pankration, Phillip has been able to compete for the US National Team in 2007, 2010 and 2011 amassing a total of 6 World medals, he is the current 2012 California State Champion (145lbs) and National Champion (65KG) and was an official USA National Team Coach for the Palaismata and Polydama events in 2011 earning a second place overall ranking for Team USA. Phillip has also been named USA National Team Coach for Palaismata and Polydama for 2012 and will be competing this year in Russia and Greece. His Pankration Black Belt is recognized through WAMAI (World Amateur Martial Arts International), FILA (Federation Internationale des Luttes Associates, aka International Federation of Associated Wrestling Styles), USFL (United States Fight League) and the USAFPA (United States of America, Federation of Pankration Athlima). Άρχισε από χθες η άφιξη των ξένων αποστολών, για το 5ο Παγκόσμιο πρωτάθλημα Παγκρατίου, που θα διεξαχθεί στην χώρα μας και τον δήμο Ευρώτα Λακωνίας από 16 ως 18 Νοεμβρίου. Ήδη έφτασαν οι αποστολές του Αφγανιστάν, του Ισραήλ και της Αυστραλίας, ενώ για αύριο Τετάρτη αναμένονται η Τουρκία και το Νεπάλ, με τις υπόλοιπες από τις 27 χώρες που θα πάρουν μέρος να ακολουθούν. Στη μεγάλη αυτή αθλητική διοργάνωση αναμένεται να παραβρεθούν συνολικά πάνω από 600 αθλητές και φορείς από 34 χώρες , χωρίς να συμπεριλαμβάνονται οι συνοδοί και οι αθλητικοί τουρίστες που θα ακολουθήσουν την αποστολή. Το τεράστιο ενδιαφέρον που υπάρχει στις χώρες του εξωτερικού οι οποίες παίρνουν μέρος στους αγώνες, αλλά και σε πολλές ακόμα οι οποίοιες ενδιαφέρονται να καλλιεργήσουν και να αναπτύξουν το Παγκράτιο, οδήγησε την Παγκόσμια και την Ελληνική Ομοσπονδία Παγκρατίου θα μεριμνήσουν για την ζωντανή μετάδοση των αγώνων μέσω LIVE STREAMING.Η διεύθυνση μέσω της οποίας μπορεί όποιος ενδιαφέρεται να παρακολουθήσει το 5ο Παγκόσμιο πρωτάθλημα Παγκρατίου είναι: http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/26819853
