Ryan Bader vs. Lyoto Machida (Co-Main Event)
Round 1
Both fighters start out measuring their distance. Machida is throwing leg kicks and landing. Machida is fighting very conservative and keeping his distance. Nice left body kik by Machida. A solid knee landed to the body by Machida followed by a big righ hand. Machida lands solid left . Machida keeps switching his stance from orthodox to unorthodox. Bader does not land any solid strikes on the elusive Machida.

Round 2
Bader continues to have problems closing the distance. Bader attempts a clinch but Machida escapes. Bader goes right after Machida again. He runs into solid and very accurate right hand. Bader is knockout out by that right hand.
A solid performance by Lyoto Machida that earns him the title shot of the winner of Jon Jones vs. Dan Henderson.

Mauricio “Shogun” Rua vs. Brandon Vera (Main Event)
Round 1
Takedown by Rua. Vera is on his back in half guard.Vera gets up. Vera misses a head kick. Guillotine attempt by Vera. Rua breaks free. Rua takes Vera down and starts ground and pound. Rua passes Vera’s guard and has Vera’s back. Rua is looking for a rear naked chocke, but Vera survives.

Huge right hand that stuns Vera. Vera recovers and fights back.Vera lands a solid elbow and a left hook. Vera continues to land combinations. Big right hand by Rua. Vera then takes down Rua and keeps him on the ground for the rest of the round.

Round 3
Vera lands some solid kicks to the body. Vera attempts a knee but ends up in a clinch. Shogun takes down Vera. Rua is landing some solid shots . Vera gets back up . Vera lands some nice combos. Shogun takes down Vera again. Vera lands in half guard.

Round 4
Both fighters are up in the clinch. Nice knees to the body and head by Rua. Good elbow by Vera. Back into the clinch. Nice combinations by Shogun. Shogun lands a huge left that stuns Vera. Shogun lands a right hand to knockout Vera.

Brandon Vera fought very hard against Rua. He showed a lot heart to stay in this fight as long as he did. At the press conference, Dana White confirmed that Brandon Vera will fight again.
