RD 1
Most of the round was a feeling out process. Jones attempts a lot of head kicks . The crowd was booing for lack of action . But Evans landed a head kick early on that hurt Jones. Evans win the round the 10 to 9.
Rd2
Evans controlled the early part of the round and was showboating. As the round went on, Jones landed some lethal elbows. Jones landed a flying knee to end the round. Jones wins the round 10 to 9.
RD 3
Evans lands a huge right early on. Jones came back to control the distance and land some leg kicks. Jones was able to stop Evan’s shot attempts. But Jones was able to outland Evans during that round. Jones landed a beautiful switch kick. Jones wins that round 10 to 9.
RD 4
Evans has done almost nothing this round. Jones has been able to control the distance very well . He was able to outland and control Evans during this entire round. Evans is starting to fatigue. Jones takes a 10-9 that round.
RD 5
Evans probably will need a KO to win. Jones continue to dominate Evans during the round . He was able to land some elbows and was able to control the standup during the round. Jones threw Evans on the ground. Evans was able to get up and Jones pulls guard to finish off the round. Another round for Jon Jones.
Another amazing performance for Jon Jones. But you have to give Rashad Evans credit for lasting the entire 5 rounds. This was the first time Jon Jones went 5 rounds in his entire career. Both fighters have something to be proud of. Jon Jones may want to move up to heavyweight because he has completely ruled the 205lb weight class. Dan Henderson is next in line for a title shot.
