Ken Hershman, HBO’s New Head Of Boxing Programming
By: Real Combat Media

HOB’s newest addition to it’s boxing program, Ken Hershman has a few different idea’s then what his predecessor, Ross Greenburg when he was running HBO Boxing

Hershman would like to see a co-promotions with boxing’s two biggest promotional companies, Top Rank and Golden Boy Promotion.  Top Rank and Golden Boy Promotions have a  good talent pool of fighters that could lead to potential good match making for the network and the fans. He plans on working on getting the two companies to work together for the better of the sport.

On the subject of Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao possibly fighting or not fighting each other, Hershman was very clear that he like many boxing fans, is getting tired of the on going drama between the two fighters. Hershman is hoping for the two to finally get inside the ring by later this year or early next year. Hershman also mentioned, if for some reason Mayweather Jr. vs Pacquiao does not happen by sometime early next year, the window for that fight happening will begin to close.

Hershman wants to make the big fights happen but is unable to do so until Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao make their announcement as to who they will be fighting next. Hershman is working on other possible big fights that he wants to bring to HBO .

Let us all hope that Ken Hershman can help make the fights the fans want to see actually happen. If he is able to get both Top rank and Golden Boy Promotions to work together for the better of the sport, then great! time will tell if what Mr. Hershman is saying will actually come to pass.
