London, England, (November 7th, 2026)–Cheavon “Chev” Clarke dropped former WBO cruiserweight champion Chris Billam-Smith twice in the seventh round, and referee Lee Every stopped the Zuffa Boxing 12 main event at 1:24 at Copper Box Arena. It was the first knockdown of Billam-Smith’s career and his first stoppage loss. In the co-main event, Denzel Bentley earned a unanimous decision over Shane Mosley Jr. (96-94, 96-93, 95-94). Six of the nine bouts on the card ended inside the distance.

Main Event Breakdown: Chev Clarke vs. Chris Billam-Smith

Clarke came into the cruiserweight main event at 12-2 with 9 knockouts, fresh off a thrilling win over Jack Massey, and he carried history with him. He had beaten Billam-Smith in a national amateur final a decade ago, and Billam-Smith was looking to finally get one back in the paid ranks. The former champion was the favorite with most observers, but Clarke never fought like an underdog.

The first six rounds were busy, physical and full of clinching. Clarke landed a right hand over the top in the opening round, then found a sharp right uppercut between Billam-Smith’s elbows in the third and kept touching the former champion’s chin with left hooks. Billam-Smith pressed forward, worked the body and finished the fourth swinging hooks. In the sixth he landed with real power, and Clarke briefly lost the shape of his boxing before regrouping.

The seventh round changed everything. Clarke put Billam-Smith on the canvas with a right hand, and the Bournemouth man had to fight his way back to his feet. Clarke swarmed him, and as Billam-Smith tried to work free from the ropes, a second knockdown followed. Clarke kept firing right hooks on the ropes, and Every stepped in at 1:24 while Billam-Smith shook his head in protest.

Clarke improved to 13-2 with 10 knockouts and has now beaten Billam-Smith three times, twice as an amateur and now as a professional. Billam-Smith fell to 22-3 with 14 knockouts. He said afterward that he felt he was winning the fight and made a mistake, praised Clarke and said he would love to run it back. Clarke was unmoved by the underdog label. “Underdog to who? Not us!” he said.

Co-Main Event Breakdown: Denzel Bentley vs. Shane Mosley Jr.

Bentley nearly ended the middleweight co-main early. In Round 2 a quick lead right hand snapped back Mosley’s head, and moments later another fast right put Mosley down for the first time in his career. Bentley poured on the pressure, but Mosley survived and finished the round strong.

From there Mosley took the fight to Bentley through the middle rounds, boxing more smoothly and scoring more consistently while Bentley dropped his output and looked for clean, explosive counters. By the sixth round Bentley’s corner was demanding more from him. Bentley came alive late in the seventh with a left uppercut that spun Mosley’s chin, and in the ninth he switched stances and landed the heavier, cleaner shots off the back foot. After a closely contested final round, the judges scored it 96-94, 96-93 and 95-94 for Bentley.

Bentley improved to 23-3-1 with 18 knockouts, while Mosley fell to 23-6 with 15 knockouts. Bentley said he wants another world title shot, and he also teased an all-British fight with Conor Benn, who was watching from ringside.

Main Card Highlights

Da’Mazion Vanhouter def. Ivan Balaz: The 21-year-old heavyweight prospect from Albany, New York, used his hand speed and a high guard to keep Balaz’s clubbing counters at bay, then switched his attack to the body. A left to the liver put the 6-foot-5 Balaz down on one knee, a heavy right to the body sent him down again, and a third body shot ended it at 2:04 of the first round. Vanhouter moved to 14-0 with 11 knockouts, 10 of them in the first round, and UFC CEO Dana White has said he may find a spot for him on the Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua undercard in Cardiff.

Sam Hickey def. Amaury Massenaux: The undefeated Scottish middleweight faced Belgium’s Amaury Massenaux, who stepped in for Troy Coleman. Hickey studied his man’s timing and range for three rounds before hurting him in the fourth. In the fifth, Hickey landed to the body and head, and Massenaux went down three times before the referee waved it off at 2:31. Massenaux protested, but the fight was one-sided by then. Hickey improved to 7-0, his third straight finish under the Zuffa Boxing banner.

Kayla Allen def. Julia Igel: England’s Kayla Allen took a hard-earned 58-56 decision over Germany’s Julia Igel in a six-round super lightweight fight. Allen set a blistering pace in the opening round and bloodied Igel over the final rounds, but Igel kept firing back with heavy punches to the final bell. Allen improved to 2-0.

Lucas Roehrig def. Connal McDonald: The 23-year-old English cruiserweight, a protege of former super middleweight world champion George Groves, used his speed and conditioning to wear down Scottish champion Connal McDonald, who took clean shots without flinching and countered well early. Roehrig finished him with a barrage of hooks at 0:58 of the seventh round, his third straight stoppage, to move to 10-0. He named former world champion Andrew Tabiti as a fighter he wants to face.

Preliminary Card Highlights

Umar Dzambekov def. Zach Parker: Dzambekov had to absorb a lot of body work through the first three rounds, but in the fourth he dipped his hips and landed a crushing left hand to the body that folded Parker for the 10-count at 1:47. The 28-year-old light heavyweight moved to 15-0, and it was another highlight-reel finish after his knockout of Ahmed El Biali at Zuffa Boxing 3.

Vinnie Kemp def. Liam McElhinney: Vinnie “The King of Violence” Kemp made his professional debut an eventful one. He goaded McElhinney, got a talking-to from the referee about his in-ring chatter, then forced the stoppage at 2:33 of the first round with a flurry of body shots. After the fight he called on Dana White for more fights and tougher opponents.

Masood Abdulah def. Adan Palma: Featherweight Masood “Super Mas” Abdulah dropped Palma with a left hook in the first round and again with a check left hook in the sixth. Palma had his moments, including a big right hand in the fourth, but Abdulah used his jab, footwork and short hooks to take a unanimous decision (78-72, 77-73, 76-74) and improve to 14-1.
