San Antonio, Texas (October 24th, 2026)– DAZN Saturday Night Fights and Top Rank will present an eight-bout card of professional boxing with four regional and world title bouts on Saturday night, October 24, 2026, at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas, featuring the main event super featherweight world unification title bout between Emanuel Navarrete and O’Shanique Foster.
Navarrete, 40-2-1 with 33 knockouts, San Juan Zitlaltepec, Mexico, the World Boxing Organisation and International Boxing Federation World Super Featherweight champion, is predicted by this reporter to defeat Foster, 25-3 with 23 knockouts, Houston, Texas, the World Boxing Council World Super Featherweight champion, by stoppage.
Both fighters have a 72 inches reach. Navarrete stands 5’7″, while Foster stands 5’8.5″ and is slightly taller. At odds of 6 to 4, Foster is the slight odds-on technical favorite at -170 to -230. With a 14-1 record in world title bouts, Navarrete is nonetheless the dangerous underdog at +130 to +160. Foster utilizes superior footwork, slick defensive movement, and the ability to control distance from the outside, supported by a sharp jab and counter-punching attack which has succeeded against opponents who walk forward.
Navarrete is a three-division world champion with an unorthodox, high-volume, awkward punching style which produces bunches in bunches from unconventional angles. Even when behind on the cards, Navarrete has a proven history of wearing opponents down by setting the tempo and creating a grueling inside fight, with superior power shots and a high-volume combination game and relentless pressure. Foster has the technical dynamics and the stick-and-move game plan. Navarrete will attempt to cut off the ring with pressure and trap Foster on the ropes.
The resulting contrast in styles could lead to this bout being a candidate for Fight of the Year in 2026. Navarrete’s best chance is to force Foster into a rock’em sock’em robot’s give-and-take slugfest. Foster’s best game plan is to outpoint Navarrete and remain outside of distance range. As the later rounds progress, this reporter feels Navarrete will wear Foster down, with the goal of achieving the stoppage and not leaving the bout to the scorecards where Foster would be favored on his home state. Knockdowns could affect scoring if the bout does indeed go to the scorecards. Navarrete’s vast experience and ring generalship would also lead to a points win if the bout does go to the cards and turns out to be close.
