Floyd Mayweather Sues Stephen Espinoza

Floyd Mayweather Sues Stephen Espinoza & Showtime For 340 MillionĀ

Las Vegas, NV (February 4th, 2026)– Floyd Mayweather Jr., age 48, filed a $340 million lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court against Showtime and former Showtime Sports president Stephen Espinoza on February 3rd.

The lawsuit alleges a “long-running and elaborate scheme of financial fraud” involving the following key claims:

Mayweather alleges that at least $340 million of his career earnings, generated from major pay-per-view events like his fights against Manny Pacquiao and Conor McGregor, is “missing and unaccounted for”.

The suit claims Showtime and Espinoza aided Mayweather’s longtime advisor, Al Haymon, in misappropriating funds by delivering money owed to the boxer directly into accounts controlled by Haymon.

Mayweather’s legal team asserts that when they requested to see the network’s financial books, Showtime claimed records for his biggest fights were “lost in a flood” or otherwise inaccessible.

Beyond the missing $340 million, the filing also claims Mayweather is still owed approximately $20 million, specifically for his 2015 fight against Andre Berto.

The lawsuit seeks damages for aiding and abetting breach of fiduciary duty, civil conspiracy to commit fraud, conversion, and unjust enrichment.

Paramount Global (Showtime’s parent company) has labeled the claims “baseless” and stated they “lack legal or factual merit”.

Recently, Business Insider had claimed Floyd Mayweather was allegedly having financial debt from various lawsuits. You can read this articleĀ here.
