COMBATE GLOBAL ANNOUNCES THE RETURN OF LUCERO “LA LOBA” ACOSTA ON THURSDAY, APRIL 10, LIVE WORLDWIDE ON YOUTUBE IN BOTH ENGLISH AND SPANISH FROM MIAMILA LOBA FACES OFF WITH MMA AND PRO BOXING VETERAN ABRIL “MULANO” ANGUIANO IN A FLYWEIGHT MAIN EVENT WELTERWEIGHT CO-MAIN EVENT: Acosta of San Diego, Calif. via Tijuana, B.C., Mexico will square off in a flyweight (125 pounds) main event contest against Combate Global veteran and professional boxing standout, Abril “Mulan” Anguiano (6-4, 1 NC, MMA; 4-1, 1 KO, Boxing). The COMBATE GLOBAL event will stream live, worldwide, free-of-charge on April 10, on both Combate Global’s English language YouTube channel as well as its Spanish language YouTube channel. The live stream’s start time will be announced soon. “La Loba is the most watched women’s MMA fighter in the world and, now with YouTube, more people than ever will be able to watch her fight live,” said COMBATE GLOBAL CEO Campbell McLaren, who continued, “but this time she’s up against a very tough challenge from Abril Anguiano, who is both a pro boxer and MMA fighter.” Since teaming up with San Diego-based veteran trainer Nestor Flores, the 30-year-old La Loba has transformed her game into one honed by a serious contender, winning her last two fights by first round (1:24) submission (guillotine choke) and by second round (0:32) TKO (punches), respectively. The 25-year-old Mexican American Anguiano of Dallas, Texas is a rugged, hard punching and always game battler, who has fought in three different weight classes between strawweight (115 pounds) and bantamweight (135 pounds). Anguiano, a member of the War Room team led by trainer Steven Wright, is coming off a year in which she fought under MMA rules four times and is looking to repeat that aggressive schedule in 2025. The matchup with La Loba will be Anguiano’s second fight of the year already. Also announced today was a welterweight (170 pounds) co-main event between scrappy veteran Marcos “El Lobo” Lloreda (15-8) and undefeated phenom Jaden Ortega (3-0). The Spanish American Lloreda, 32 years of age, fights out of Freedom Fighters gym in Miami, and is seeking his fifth consecutive victory in La Jaula, the COMBATE GLOBAL competition cage. Lloreda will see action for the first time in 2025 after earning a unanimous decision victory over Japan’s Shoma Yamada last July 27. Despite the substantial difference in fight experience between he and his opponent, the undefeated, 22-year-old Ortega, a Spokane, Wash.-based, former high school football superstar turned MMA student of trainer Rick Little, is walking into the fight with complete confidence that he will be victorious in this upcoming challenge. In his last start on January 18, Ortega stopped Idrees Wasi in the first round of action with a flying knee followed by an onslaught of punches and, prior to that, he earned a unanimous decision over another more experienced opponent in Jimmie “Jimbo Slice” Pace, Jr. last May 11. A featherweight (145 pounds) matchup also announced today will pit 27-year-old social media star and MMA upstart Luis “Pride” Escudero (3-3) of Hermosillo, Son., Mexico against Marcos “El Toro” Lopez (5-5) of Spokane. Additional fights for the COMBATE GLOBAL fight card will be announced soon.
