
Keith Thurman Injured, Sebastian Fundora to Fight Tim Tszyu

Las Vegas, NV (March 19th, 2023)– The comeback of former World Welterweight champion Keith ‘One Time’ Thurman in the Premier Boxing Champions inaugural pay-per-view event on Prime Video scheduled for March 30, 2024, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, has been put on indefinite hold after Thurman suffered a bicep injury, according to ESPN sources.
Thurman will be replaced with a last minute replacement, the 6’5″ Southpaw known as ‘The Towering Inferno’, Sebastian Fundora, 20-1-1 with 13 knockouts, Coachella, California, who will fight Tim Tszyu, 24-0 with 17 knockouts, Rockdale, New South Wales, Australia, for the World Boxing Organisation and the vacant World Boxing Council World Super Welterweight titles.
Fundora had been scheduled to fight Serhii Bohachuk, 23-1 with 23 knockouts, Los Angeles, California via Ukraine, for the vacant World Boxing Council World Super Welterweight title, and Bohachuk will now fight Brian Mendoza, 22-3 with 16 knockouts, Las Vegas, Nevada, for the WBC Interim Super Welterweight title held by Mendoza, who knocked out Fundora in his last bout. Also on the PBC card, Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero, 15-1 with 13 knockouts, Las Vegas, Nevada, will defend the World Boxing Association regular World Super Lightweight title against WBC Silver and WBO Latino titleholder Isaac Cruz, 25-2 with 17 knockouts, Mexico City, Mexico. Cuban southpaw Erislandy ‘The American Dream’ Lara, 29-3-3 with 17 knockouts, Houston, Texas, against a challenger from down under, Michael Zerafa, 31-4 with 19 knockouts, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
