In this bantamweight bout, Christian Rodriguez got it done via unanimous decision against Cameron Saaiman.
In round one, Rodriguez attempted an anaconda choke, with both fighters having success on the feet. Round two featured some back-and-forth grappling exchanges, with both fighters making submission attempts. Making his UFC middleweight debut, Michel Pereira earned his thirteenth first-round finish with a TKO of Andre Petroski.
Jonathan Martinez def. Adrian Yañez
In this bantamweight bout, Jonathan Martinez earned a leg-kick TKO of Adrian Yañez.
In round one, Martinez landed some pulverizing leg kicks that sent Yañez to the canvas several times. And he continued this game plan in round two, eventually wearing Yañez down to get the stoppage win.
Viviane Araújo def. Jennifer Maia
In the co-main event, Viviane Araújo earned a unanimous decision win against Jennifer Maia in their flyweight bout.
Round one saw a frenetic exchange, with Araujo getting the edge by landing the bigger strikes. In round two, Araujo got the takedown early, took Maia’s back and attempted a rear-naked choke. Round three saw Maia defend a takedown then get one of her own to attempt an arm bar.
Edson Barboza def. Sodiq Yusuff
In the main event, Edson Barboza earned a unanimous decision victory against Sodiq Yusuff in their featherweight bout.
In round one, Yusuff rocked Barboza several times and unloaded on the Brazilian to almost put him away. Round two saw Yusuff slow down and Barboza push the pace, with both fighters landing effectively. In round three, Barboza sent Yusuff to the canvas with a huge wheel kick and almost put him away with ground strikes.
Round four was a close one on the feet, with Barboza pressuring and outstriking Yusuff. Then in the final round, Barboza continued to push the pace and landed multiple takedowns. Catch all the highlights below.
