In The Ultimate Fighter lightweight final, Kurt Holobaugh locked in a triangle to submit Austin Hubbard and earn a UFC contract.
Gregory Rodrigues def. Denis Tiuliulin
In this middleweight bout, Gregory Rodrigues earned a first-round KO of Denis Tiuliulin.
Main Card Highlights
Marlon Vera def. Pedro Munhoz
In this bantamweight bout, Marlon Vera earned a unanimous decision victory against Pedro Munhoz.
A tentative first round saw both fighters land effective strikes. Round two was also closely contested, with Munhoz keeping up a high volume of strikes. Then in round three, Vera switched up a gear, having continued success with his jab and landing a series of hard blows.
Mario Bautista def. Da’Mon Blackshear
In this bantamweight bout, Mario Bautista earned a unanimous decision victory against Da’Mon Blackshear.
In round one, Blackshear outgrappled Bautista, landing multiple takedowns and surviving a guillotine attempt. Round two saw Bautista push the pace and effectively land on a laboring Blackshear. In round three, Bautista got the takedown and took Blackshear’s back.
Ian Machado Garry def. Neil Magny
Ian Machado Garry continued his rise through the welterweight ranks with a resounding unanimous decision victory against Neil Magny.
In round one, Garry had huge success with calf kicks, causing Magny to fall to the canvas multiple times. Round two saw Garry continue to damage Magny’s leg and land a flurry of strikes. In round three, Garry took full advantage of an immobilized Magny, battering his leg further and unloading on him against the fence.
Zhang Weili def. Amanda Lemos
In the co-main event, Zhang Weili retained her strawweight belt with a unanimous decision victory over Amanda Lemos.
A wild round one saw Zhang get Lemos to the ground and land savage ground strikes, but the Brazilian came close to pulling off a D’arce choke. Round two saw Zhang get Lemos to the canvas multiple times and land some nasty elbows.
In round three, Zhang took Lemos’ back and handily outgrappled her, landing huge elbows and combinations. Round four saw Lemos land a few hard rights, but Zhang took her down yet again. And in the final round, Zhang took Lemos down and landed brutal ground strikes to round out a dominant win.
Sean O’Malley def. Aljamain Sterling
