Aiemann Zahabi def. Aori Qileng

Aiemann Zahabi earned the first finish of UFC 289 by sensationally knocking out Aori Qileng in just over a minute.

Main Card Highlights

Marc-Andre Barriault def. Eryk Anders

In this middleweight bout, Canada’s Marc-Andre Barriault earned a unanimous decision victory over Eryk Anders.

In round one, Barriault sent Anders to the canvas with a crushing right, but the American recovered to land brutal elbows and strikes. Round two saw Anders push the pace, with both fighters having success on the feet. In round three, Barriault put it on Anders with a series of blistering combinations and jabs to get the win.

Dan Ige def. Nate Landwehr

In this featherweight bout, Dan Ige earned a unanimous decision against Nate Landwehr.

Round one saw both fighters have success on the feet, with Ige landing a huge left late on that sent Landwehr to the canvas. Round two saw Ige yet again send Landwehr to the canvas with a massive left late on, and almost put him away with ground strikes. In round three, Ige wobbled Landwehr with a stiff left early, but Landwehr responded with some savage elbows in the clinch.

Mike Malott def. Adam Fugitt

In this welterweight bout, Mike Malott earned yet another finish by submitting Adam Fugitt.

Round one saw Mallott trouble Fugitt with a series of brutal body kicks and land a takedown. Then early in round two, the Canadian sent Fugitt to the canvas with a massive left hook, before locking in a guillotine to force the tap.

Charles Oliveira def. Beneil Dariush

In the co-main event, Charles Oliveira made a case for another lightweight title shot by earning a sensational first-round TKO of Beneil Dariush. Catch all the highlights below.

Amanda Nunes def. Irene Aldana

In the main event, Amanda Nunes defended her women’s bantamweight title with a dominant unanimous decision victory over Irene Aldana. And following the decision, the widely-touted women’s MMA GOAT announced her retirement from the sport.

A very cagey round one saw Nunes push the pace, but Aldana landed a counter right hook that stunned the Brazilian. In round two, Nunes continued to dominate, landing at will and scoring multiple takedowns. Round three saw Nunes easily get the takedown and land a flurry of savage strikes late on.

In round four, Nunes continued to have her way, landing a variety of savage strikes including a spinning backfist. And in the final round, Nunes got the takedown and dominated on top for the rest of the round. Catch all the highlights below.
