PFL 1 Results & Video Highlights

After kicking off its season schedule for 2023 across the pond last week, with the inaugural PFL Europe event taking place in Newcastle, England, the Professional Fighters League returned to action with its main global attraction.

PFL 1, the opening card of the promotion’s fifth regular season, went down on Saturday, April 1, from The Theater at Virgin Hotels in Las Vegas, Nevada.

And looking to follow in the footsteps of PFL Europe’s Dakota Ditcheva and Simeon Powell by opening their campaigns on the right foot were the featherweights and light heavyweights.

In the PFL 1 main event, 2022 featherweight victor Brendan Loughnane did just that, beginning the defense of his championship with a dominant display opposite former WSOF champion and UFC title challenger Marlon Moraes.

Setting the stage for the headliner was last year’s light heavyweight kingpin Rob Wilkinson (17-2), who welcomed former UFC title challenger Thiago Santos to the SmartCage for the first time by extending the Brazilian’s losing skid.

Elsewhere, the likes of Bubba Jenkins, Movlid Khaybulaev, Will Fleury, and Josh Silveira all opened their accounts for the 2023 PFL regular season with wins.
