UAE Warriors Results: AlQaisi Retains Title

Abu Dhabi, UAE: UAE Warriors staged another weekend of international MMA with three events back to back to back at the Etihad Arena on Yas Island and was live worldwide on UFC Fight Pass. The three events featured sixty-eight athletes representing over forty nations from around the globe.

‘UAE Warriors 40: Arabia’ took place Sunday, March 19, and saw triple champion Ali AlQaisi (14-6) – pictured top – retain his UAE Warriors Arabia featherweight title with an impressive submission win over Egypt’s Ahmed Faress (17-8) in the main event. ‘The Royal Fighter’ is now 6-1 since his UFC departure and called for a second shot in the world’s largest organisation after the fight.

In the co-main event, Morocco’s Badreddine Diani (6-2) – pictured above – firmly established himself as the UAE Warriors Arabia welterweight champion with another victory over Abdullah Boushehri (9-4).

‘UAE Warriors 39’ took place Saturday, March 18, and featured a main event between two of the best featherweights outside the UFC. Austria’s Mochamed Machaev (13-1) – pictured above – scored a decision victory over Bagdos Olzhabay (13-4) to earn his biggest win to date.

Former UAE Warriors bantamweight champ Vinicius de Oliveira (18-3) got back to winning ways with an emphatic win over ONE & Rizin veteran Hikaru Yoshino (12-3) in the co-main event. Elsewhere on the card, Italy’s Walter Cogliandro (12-4-1) defeated UFC veteran Mark Striegl (18-5), Russia’s Artur Zaynukov (13-4) beat recently released UFC fighter Alex da Silva (21-5), and Rustem Kudaibergnenov (6-2) secured one of the fastest KO’s in MMA history with an eight second knockout win over Ilkhom Nazimov (9-3).
