Tyson Fury Warns Brother Tommy Fury To be Ready For Jake Paul on February 26

London, UK (January 30th, 2023)– Lineal World Heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has put out a warning and words of caution to younger brother Tommy Fury to be absolutely totally prepared and ready before stepping inside the ring with social media icon and boxer Jake Paul on February 26, 2023, in a bout which has already undergone two postponements due to injury and visa issues.

According to Tyson Fury in new statements with Sky Sports, “My brother Tommy Fury cannot just go to the ice cream parlor, and not train (for his bout with Jake Paul, and think he can just show up and win). He’s got to really focus, have the right sparring and everything. Tommy has got to take it (his upcoming bout with Jake Paul very) really seriously. He’s got to do the job when he’s in there because it’s not just the opponent. If you take the opponent out of the equation. There’s big pressure, a big stadium, top of the bill and all that sort of stuff. The thrills and spills of big time boxing sometimes get to boxers, so it is going to be interesting to see if Tommy can handle that pressure, which I know he can. It is going to be interesting to see him do it in front of the world. I think Tommy knocks (will knock) out Jake Paul inside of six rounds. Tommy hits and hurts me (in sparring), and I’m 20 stone (in weight), six foot nine and the heavyweight champion of the world.”

Regarding YouTuber Jake Paul, Tyson Fury thinks “Jake Paul is a decent boxer. A lot of people think he’s just a YouTube person who doesn’t know how to box, but I’ve actually seen him in training, and I have actually seen his fights. I think he is a decent boxer. Jake Paul fights like a novice professional. He’s only had six fights, so he’s exactly as good as he should be at this stage (in his boxing development inside and outside the ring). Jake Paul was not an Olympic boxer, but, then again, neither was I (an Olympian, and went on to become the world heavyweight champion).”

The gist of Tyson Fury’s precautionary warning is, because his brother Tommy Fury is a cruiserweight, and in reality no clone of older brother Tyson Fury in ability at this stage in his career, that Tommy should not underestimate Jake Paul, and be prepared for a world class bout against a world class opponent. Overall, Tyson Fury is being protective of his brother while also providing the best possible advice. Despite all appearances of social media hype, Jake Paul should be taken seriously and Tommy should be ready in less than a month to do serious battle with Jake Paul.
