Phuket, Thailand (December 15th, 2021)– Thammanoon Niyomtrong, AKA Knockout CP Freshmart, retained his World Boxing Association Super World Minimumweight title with a fifth-round knockout of dangerous Filipino challenger Robert Paradero, on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, in Phuket, Thailand.

Freshmart, 23-0, with nine knockouts, Surin, Thailand, battled cautiously in center ring against an extremely aggressive challenger in Paradero, 18-2 with 12 knockouts, Valencia City, Phillipines. Paradero lost a 12 round split decision to WBA Regular Minimumweight world champion Victorio Saludar in February 2021, but unfortunately did not last as long in this affair.

Paradero appeared to run into a right hand in center ring while in the process of throwing a punch, went down, got up, went down, got up, and then went down again, staggering around the ring. Paradero was unable to shake off the effects of the punch. The bout appeared to be clean until the end came. In 2022, Freshmart could next face the winner of Saludar, who hails from Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines, versus Erick Rosa, the next WBA regular Minimumweight world title bout, scheduled for December 21, 2021, at Hotel Catelonia Malecon Center, Santo Domingo.
