Gervonta Davis Will Now Face Issac Cruz As Rollie Romero is Removed From the Card For Sexual Assault Allegations

Las Vegas, NV (November 2nd, 2021)– Two days after news broke that Rolando Romero was accused of sexual assault by multiple women, the December 5th fight with Gervonta Davis a Showtime spokesman has officially confirmed that Romero’s is off the card. Mike Coppinger reports that IBF #2 contender Isaac Cruz has agreed to step in for the December 5t PPV that is set to take place in Los Angeles, CA. The Henderson police department in Nevada confirmed there is an active investigation in the matter against Rolando Romero. Romero released the following statement below.

“Although the allegations against me are totally false and I will prove that through the legal system, I agree that it is in the best interest of everyone involved that I not participate in the upcoming pay-per-view event. After clearing my name I will return to the ring as soon as possible.”– Rolly Romero (14-0, 12 KO’s)

Issac “Pitbull” Cruz (22-1-1, 15 KO) was already in line for a shot at Teofimo Lopez and is known for his aggressive style, skilled body punching and willingness to get in the pocket and bang. Issac defeated Francisco Vargas, Jose Matias Romero and stopped Diego Magdaleno in 50 seconds in October 2020.
