By Robert Brizel, Head Real Combat Media Boxing Correspondent
London, UK (October 28th, 2021)– Matchroom Boxing and DAZN will present an exciting televised nine bout card of boxing on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at 02 Arena in Greenwich, London, United Kingdom, featuring rising undefeated heavyweight prospect Alen “The Savage” Babic versus former world heavyweight title challenger Eric Molina, who has fought Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder.
Babic, 8-0 with eight knockouts, Zagreb, Croatia, will face Eric “Drummer Boy” Molina, 28-7 with 20 knockouts, Weslaco, Texas, in an eight round preliminary to the main event bout. Molina has lost four of his last seven bouts, and has now gone past through the eighth round or later in five and a half years. Molina took this bout apparently on short notice, and at age 39, is nearly a decade older than Babic, and sure to be slower by now. Babic is predicted to win by seventh round stoppage, given Molina had only short notice to prepare. Molina is a former WBC Latino, WBC USNBC and NABF Heavyweight titleholder.
In the main event, Chantelle Cameron, 14-0 with eight knockouts, Northampton, United Kingdom, the World Boxing Council Female World Super Lightweight champion, fight a 140 pound titular unification bout against International Boxing Federation Female World Super Lightweight champion “Merciless” Mary McGee, 27-3, 18 knockouts, Gary, Indiana. Cameron is favored by 10round decision, two minute rounds, but McGee could surprise.
In undercard bouts, 16-2-1 Crystal Palace London light heavyweight prospect Craig Richards is favored by 10 round decision over 20-2-1 Marek Matyja, Wroclaw, Poland. 13-0-1 Wembley London super featherweight prospect Youssef Khomari is favored to win by ten round decision over Jorge David Castaneda, Laredo, Texas, the ABF USA super featherweight titleholder. 3-0 Romsey London heavyweight prospect Johnny Fisher is favored to win by third round stoppage over 5-13-2 journeyman Alvaro Terrero, Cadiz, Andalucia, Spain. 2-0 Catford London female super bantamweight prospect Ellie Scotney is favored to win by six round decision over 2-1 Eva Cantos of Elda, Valencia, Spain.
