By Robert Brizel, Head Real Combat Media Boxing Correspondent
Miami, FL (January 31, 2020)– YouTuber and cruiserweight Jake ‘The Problem Child’ Paul won the battle of professional debuts, dropping Ali Esson Gib three times in a first-round TKO maul which took all of two minutes and 18 seconds at Meridian at Island Gardens, Miami, Florida, January 30, 2020. Paul, 1-0 with one knockout, Calabazas, California, had height and reach advantage over Gib, 0-1, London, United Kingdom by way of Saudi Arabia.
Paul stood 6’1″ to Gib’s 5’8″. No matter how Gib tried to bring it on and appeared to slip some punches standing in front of Paul, Gib got mauled and staggered by the Jake Paul jab. Ultimately, Gib walked into firepower and got dropped three times. It wasn’t fatal but it was ugly to watch the brief affair while it lasted. Jake wants to fight KSI next, who lasted defeated his brother Logan Paul. Where there is smoke on YouTube, there is fire.
Result: Jake Paul TKO 1 Ali Esson Gibb, Cruiserweights (2:18)
Referee: Chris Young. Paul dropped Gib three times in first round for automatic TKO.
