By Robert Brizel, Head Real Combat Media Boxing Correspondent
Dearborn, MI (December 5th, 2019)– Kenny Moore and Vi Tran’s Second2None Promotions and TopBreed Promotions will present an exciting five bout card of area boxing at the Dearborn Ford Community & Performing Arts Civic Center in Dearborn, Michigan, on Saturday, December 7, 2019, featuring Janelson Figueroa Bocachica and Eric Walker two exciting co-main event bouts.
David McWater welterweight fighter Bocachica, 14-0 with 10 knockouts, Detroit, Michigan, will be put to the test against the durable and always dangerous Luis Eduardo Florez, 24-14 with 20 knockouts, Puerto Libertador, Columbia, in the eight-round co-main event. While most of Florez’ wins have come in his native Columbia, one of them came in Detroit. Since 2016, Florez has fought quality opposition with a combined record of 158-3 when he fought them, including seven unbeaten fighters, and a fighting to a no-contest with 37-1 Anthony Peterson. Florez fought Detroit 43 bout veteran Lanardo Tyner to an eight round decision. In October 2018, Florez ruined the career of undefeated Detroit prospect Cortez Chambliss, stopping him in three rounds at MotorCity Casino.
Bocachica will be put to the test as Florez takes him to school. Expect Bocachica to fight a technical bout, while Florez will let his hands go bombs away looking for the knockout. Given Florez has used this pathway to success previously, the outcome will depend on how deeep Bocachica’s preparations for this bout are. Bocachica is predicted to win by eight-round decision in a technical war, unless he gets careless and gets knocked out by Florez.
Super welterweight Eric ‘The Baby-Faced Assassin’ Walker, 19-2 with nine knockouts, Plaquemine, Louisiana, will face Damian Ezequiel Bonelli, 23-7 with 20 knockouts, Buenos Aires, Argentina, in the other eight-round co-main event. Bonelli’s 23 wins have come in his native Argentina. All seven of his losses have come on the road against top contenders with a combined 119-4-1 when he fought them, and has gone the distance eight or ten rounds in all of his previous five fights, and has fought in such venues as Canada, Russia, Poland, Germany at the United States. This guy is a fearless traveler. Walker is predicted to win by eight-round decision in a hard-fought bout.
In preliminary bouts, 3-0 Dearborn featherweight Basil Ali Nasser with face 2-5-1 Charles Clark of Dallas, Texas. Nasser is predicted to win by six round unanimous decision. Local heavyweight favorite Tommy Washington Jr., 6-12-1 with two knockouts, Lansing, Michigan, will face Antonio Robertson, 4-6-1 with two knockouts, Alexandria, Virginia. Washington is predicted to win by six round majority decision.
