Canelo Alvarez Does Not Want Any Delay in Fight Again By DAZN
Canelo vs Kovalev match got great popularity in the UFC 244. The major reason for its popularity, other than having the famous fighters, was the dramatic influence this fight had. Unlike other matches, the two of the famous fighters were supposed to be in the locker rooms until the main event finished. Once the event was finished then they were allowed to come to the ring and to start their bout. This caused both the fighters to wait for so long, which they actually did not like. It is commonly said by the fans that such an act was planned to create more interest in the match. However, many fans liked it too as they really enjoyed the night waiting for the match and meanwhile, they had great fun there. How would a fighter behave over such a planned event? Of course, nobody likes waiting in the locker room wearing gloves especially just before the fight. Therefore, Canelo Alvarez has been very straightforward about expressing his viewpoint to DAZN that he would never accept such a delay again.
In an interview, Canelo expressed in anger that he would never accept this again. The weirdest thing about this was that both the fighters were fully ready while wearing their gear including shorts and gloves. Moreover, they were not even told until the end that when they had to make the entry. This made them more annoyed that even if they had to wait, they could at least tell them so that both the fighters could take rest rather than all geared up. Such an act by DAZN made them frustrated and no sportsman can tolerate such an act. Whatever had happened, Canelo was fine with that but he also mentioned very clearly that he will never let it happen ever again. He further said that DAZN is handling his matches and they will never do that again.

The major reason stated by DAZN to delay the main event was that they wanted to avoid the clash against the UFC’s match which was also a big match. This big match between Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz was being followed by a large number of people and mixing two important matches would have diverted the audience. In such a way, the fans were actually happy who were at home as they got to watch both the matches whereas the fans in attendance did not like this gesture.
