EIGHT BOUTS IN THE RETURN OF “LOBO” TORRES IN “A PUÑO LIMPIO” ON JUNE 28 IN TRUJILLO ALTO
SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO– With eight fights was completed the new edition of the series “A Clean Fist” that will feature world ranked Jean Carlos “Lobo” Torres next Friday, June 28, Ruben Zayas Montañez Coliseum of Trujillo Alto in a presentation of PR Best Boxing Promotions (PRBBP) in association with Spartan Boxing to be broadcast live on www.facebook.com/PRBestBoxing and later on at Wapa Deportes.
“We are going to have eight interesting fights in this edition, starting with Lobo Torres against Julio Laguna and the unbeaten Carlos Arrieta and Patrick Cora in important events, as well as other prospects of this area with very good matches,” promoter Iván Rivera explained.
As previously reported, Lobo Torres (15-0, 11 kos), ranked #7 by the WBO at 140 pounds, will defend his Latino title against Nicaraguan Julio Laguna (15-1, 11 kos) at 10 rounds.
In clashes to eight rounds, Carlos Arrieta (9-0, 7 kos) will face the Nicaraguan Martin Diaz (15-9, 6 kos) in 122 pounds and Patrick Cora (7-0, 6 kos) will face Carlos García ( 15-20-1, 12 kos) at 160 lbs.
Meanwhile, in six round fights Jean Rivera (4-1, 1 kos) will face Luis Joel González (11-6, 6 kos) at 147 pounds and Ángel Aponte (3-0, 1 kos) will fight against Francisco Rodríguez (4-6-1, 3 kos) at 130 pounds.
In four rounds bouts, Alfredo “Salsero” Cruz (4-0, 2 kos) will face an opponent to be determined at 118 pounds; Jorge Santiago (1-2, 1 kos) will fight against Nick Steven (0-1-1) at 140 pounds, and Ángel Rosado (1-0, 1 kos) will face Abelardo Millán (0-1), at 135 pounds .
