By Robert Brizel, Head Real Combat Media Boxing Correspondent

Traunreut, Germany (April 8th, 2019)–   Canadian light heavyweight Ryan ‘The Real Deal’ Ford in the Canadian Real Combat Media Boxer of the month for April, after his brutal and impressive eighth round upset knockout of 8-0 Serge ‘The Bavarian Sniper’ Michel of Traunreut, Germany, on April 6, 2019, in the main event of a 14 bout card. Ford, 16-4, 11 knockouts, Alberta, Canada, also won the vacant World Boxing Council Silver Light Heavyweight title at Ballhahaus Forum, Unteschleibheim, Germany.

In 2019 and 2019, Ford lost four of five bouts, being on the short end of the stick of four different 12 round decision losses to Fedor Chudinov, Andrey Sirotkin, Anvi Yildirim, and Nick Hannig. Including Michel, these opponents had a combined record of 63-3 when Ford fought them, and with Michel, he knew better than to leave the bouts to the cards in enemy territory. Two left hooks to the head thrown by Ford, followed by a brutal Ryan right hook to the head, ended the contest, with Michel counted out cold on his back in a vicious end.
