
Rob Brant Retains WBA Middleweight Title, Stops Khasan Baysangurov on ESPN

Hinckley, Minn (February 16th, 2018)– Rob Brant retained his World Boxing Association World Middleweight title with an impressive eleventh round stoppage of game challenger Khasan Baysangurov in the USA ESPN televised main event on Friday, February 15, 2019, at Grand Casino, Hinckley, Minnesota.
Brant, 25-1 with 17 knockouts, Dallas, Texas, knocked down Baysangurov, 17-0 with 17 knockouts, Kiev, Ukraine, in the second and eleventh rounds. The bout was highly competitive, despite Brant dominating the scorecards on the punch count. Baysangurov landed many good counters. Midway through round eleven, Baysangurov suddenly exhibited discomfort as his legs were gone, went down and got up. Brant, sensing the end, moved in and closed the show.
