By Lita B. Kaufman, Real Combat Media Boxing Correspondent
Las Vegas, NV (August 10th, 2018)– Tonight, at The Red Rock Casino Resort and Spa in Las Vegas and telecast on beIN Sports is the under publicized, sold out WBF Silver Intercontinental Title Fight between hometown favorite Max Ornelas (11-0-1, 4 KO’s) who is of Mexican descent and Filipino Raymond Tabugon (20-8-1, 10 KOs). Max is heavily predicted to win this fight. He is a UNLV student, majoring in Criminal Justice and popular opinion is that he will no doubt school and take down the veteran Tabugon who had lost his last four fights. This is an eight-round Bantamweight bout headlining a three-fight telecast.
This fight is the buzz all over town and Facebook however and locals are looking to Ornelas for a swift, skillful KO against the veteran Tabugon.
Also, being televised are:
The co-feature of lightweight Hector Lopez, Jr. (10-1, 6 KO’s) of Glendale, CA vs. Sulaiman Segawa (10-1, 3 KOs) of Uganda representing Maryland in an eight-round bout. This is an evenly matched bout and we are looking for intense toe to toe action. A barnburner perhaps?
The first fight of the beIN Sports telecast of the night features lightweight Kendo Castaneda (13-0 1 NC, 7 KO’s) facing off against Jesus Gutierrez (14-2-1, 4 KO’s) repping Las Vegas.
Also scheduled is an eight round Super Middleweight bout with Shady Gamhour (9-0, 8 KO’s) battling Evan Torres (7-6, 5 KO’s) and up first is a four-round Lightweight bout with Jaime Gomez Jr (0-0-1) against Daniel Robles in his Pro Debut.
This will be a fun boxing night for locals in attendance and fans able to catch it on beIN Sports.
Doors open at 5:30 PST in the Red Rock Ballroom.
