The Queen Mary is pleased to welcome back Rumble on the Water, a one-of-a-kind Professional Mixed Martial Arts event hosted at the Queen Mary’s beautiful waterfront events space. In conjunction with Roy Englebrecht Promotions, Rumble on the Water 4 will kick-off with the first show of the 2018 season on Saturday, July 28 at 7 p.m. in the 1,250-seat outdoor area. Tickets are available for purchase at www.queenmary.com.
“It’s an exciting, one-of-a-kind, action-packed event with a bit of history and a spectacular view of downtown Long Beach and the Queen Mary,” said Eddie Osorio, Event Operations Manager, Queen Mary. “We are thrilled to welcome top professional MMA athletes like Ryan ‘The Lion’ Lilley from Los Angeles and Craig Wilkerson from Newport Beach to the 2018 series line-up.”
During the Queen Mary’s historic crossings crew members would conduct boxing matches to entertain the passengers on board. Today the Queen Mary will continue the grand tradition of providing unique entertainment with Southern California’s top MMA athletes coming together to demonstrate raw determination and strength.
Rumble on The Water will feature eight MMA bout cards, with the first bout starting at 7 p.m. Athletes from all over Southern California will travel to Long Beach to compete in the outdoor cage for the inaugural and highly coveted Rumble on The Water Fighter of The Night Championship Belt.
“I look forward to working with the excellent Queen Mary team again,” said Roy Englebrecht, who’s best known for launching the Fight Club OC shows in The Hangar at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa. “My MMA matchmaker, Mel Valenzuela, who I believe is the top matchmaker in Southern California, is certain to give fans thrilling and must-see competitive matches.”
