
FLOYD MAYWEATHER’S BODYGUARD SHOT IN ATLANTA
Atlanta, GA (April 9th, 2018)– Floyd Mayweather was traveling back to his hotel in Atlanta when a gunman reportedly opened fire on one of the three vehicles which were traveling in a convoy.
Floyd Mayweather’s bodyguard was reportedly shot in the leg during the incident. No injuries were reported for Floyd at this time.
Police say the incident did not appear to be a random attack, suggesting Mayweather could have been the intended target for the attack on his convoy of vehicles.
Atlanta Police Department spokesman Officer Donald Hannah said: “At this time, it appears that this was not a random shooting and the shooter was targeting the victim’s vehicle.”
Mayweather was said to be traveling to a plush hotel in the Buckhead area of Atlanta while on the way back from a nightclub.
The shooting happened outside the Intercontinental Buckhead Atlanta Hotel on Peachtree Road.
Mayweather’s security guard was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he was treated for a gunshot wound to the leg.
The name of the alleged shooter has not been released by police has not been released at this time.
