Welcome to the 6th annual Real Combat Media 2017 Boxing awards. 2017 was a great year for the sport and there were many great fights. Here is a list of our favorite fights of 2017 and we look forward to many other great fights in 2018.

WINNER- ANTHONY JOSHUA VS. WLADIMIR KLITSCHKO
Real Combat Media Boxing Fight of the Year for 2017 was Anthony Joshua’s win over Wladimir Klitschko on April 29th of 2017. With a record of 90, 000 fans in attendance at Wembley Stadium in London, UK, this fight had everything from back and forth action to overcoming Wlad’s terrific 6th round where he knocked down and almost finished Joshua. Joshua showed tremendous heart by recovering and finishing Klitschko in round 11 by TKO referee stoppage. This fight showed great significance because it made Anthony Joshua into an international boxing star and also Klitschko announced his retirement a few months later after a legendary 21-year career. This fight was one of the best heavyweight battles of the decade and brought back significance to the heavyweight division. Check out this historic fight in the video below.
