JOSE RAMIREZ JR. ROAD TO A WBC WORLD TITLE
Designs by Hector De La Cruz
(November 9, 2017 – Fresno, California) – For Jose Ramirez Jr. (20-0, 15 KOs), this moment has not been as easy as it seems. It has taken him a lot of sacrifice, blood, sweat and tears to have the opportunity he has this Saturday, November 11, 2017 to fight this Eliminator, which with a win gives him the chance to fight for the WBC World Super Lightweight Title next. To be a World Champion is the dream Jose Ramirez Jr. is finally so close to after years of training, discipline, sacrifice and dedication to Boxing.

Jose Ramirez Jr. was born in the small city of Avenal, Ca on August 12, 1992 to nurturing parents, immigrants of Michoacan, Mexico. Ramirez, a first generation Mexican born here in the U.S. grew up in seeing his parents and family work in the fields of Central California. Not one day passed where he wasn’t grateful of how hard his parents worked for their family. He started Boxing at the age of 8 years old and fell in love with the sport when he won his first trophy as an amateur. He enjoyed the cheers and people calling him “Champ” so much, he wanted more. As an amateur, he won many important tournaments, never losing a USA tournament since the age of 13 which led to represent TEAM USA in the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

Coming back from London to his small town in Avenal, Jose realized how much the town and people commended his career as an Amateur. This inspired him not only to continue Boxing professionally, but also to be a voice for farmworkers, for immigrants, for the community who needs help and stays quiet, he vowed to be that voice. After offers from many promotion companies, Ramirez, with the help of his advisor, Rick Mirigian, signed a promotional contract with Top Rank. One of the best we’ve seen in Boxing as he can co-promote under his own promotional company JCR Promotions.

With the help of Top Rank, Rick Mirigan and most importantly all of his supporters and fans, at the young age of 25, Jose Ramirez Jr. has SOLD OUT different venues in Central California with his shows Fight For Water. All shows giving back to the community as he once promised.
This weekend, Ramirez faces a tough fight against undefeated Mike “Yes Indeed” Reed (23-0, 12 KOs) in front of 15,000 people LIVE with millions watching on ESPN. He has trained hard under the tutelage of Hall Of Fame Trainer Freddie Roach for this big opportunity. Jose is not only fighting for his victory and opportunity at the prestigious WBC Green Belt, but also a victory for Central California, for the world to see everything he has been fighting for, his family, his community, Farmworkers, Immigrants, Amateur boxers, for the future of the world, for his son, Matteo and all the new generation to have a better future and better opportunities.
Don’t miss RAMIREZ vs. REED this SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 11, 2017 LIVE ON ESPN FROM THE SAVE MART CENTER IN FRESNO, CA AT 10:30 pm ET / 7:30 pm PT !
