The much heralded Charlie Boy Howard makes his pro debut as BAMMA lands in the SSE Arena, Wembley.
The amateur MMA sensation finally looks to give the big crowds a taste of what the regional scene has been witnessing.
Modelling his style on his fighting idol Nick Diaz, his approach to MMA is very similar. Going 13-3 as an amateur, all but one of his wins came by way of stoppage. Known for being a whiz on the ground with a high tempo BJJ game, eight of those wins came by way of submission. With cardio that can go for days and a ferocious striking game, many have been predicting big things for the man known as ‘CBH’.
With his raucous ‘CBH Army’ fanbase following him wherever he goes, you can be sure that their presence will be felt at BAMMA London in September. With his opponent to be announced later this week, Charlie Boy Howard had these words for BAMMA Newsletter subscribers:
“I’ve worked hard to get to this point. I always wanted to make my pro debut at BAMMA. The biggest MMA promotion in Europe and what better place to do it but at Wembley? Nobody wants this like I do. It doesn’t matter who it is, I am going to run through them all the way to the top! You can’t prepare for what’s coming!”
BAMMA London takes place at the SSE Arena, Wembley on Friday 15th September and tickets are on sale now from http://bit.ly/BAMMA31
