WHITE STATES WHEN ROUSEY RETURNS SHE WILL FIGHT FOR A TITLE AND PROBABLY DEFEND IT AGAINST CYBORG
Las Vegas, NV (September 20th, 2016)– There is a strong possibility that Ronda Rousey, (12-1) will return to the UFC and challenge for a UFC 135lb. belt in December at UFC 206 against Amanda Nunes (13-4). Here is what Dana White had to say below.
“I think in a perfect world, what everybody would love to see is Ronda vs. Cyborg, so everybody is waiting — I’m sure Cyborg is, too — is the return of Ronda Rousey. … When she does return, I’m sure (Ronda is) gonna want to fight for the title, probably defend it and then maybe fight Cyborg. I don’t know. We’ll see how this thing plays out.””Yes, there’s a big chance that Ronda Rousey will fight Amanda Nunes and I’m very confident that Ronda will probably fight before the end of the year,” White said.
Ronda Rousey is reportedly training and has lost weight in recent photos. Rousey has not fought in close to a year after she was knocked out by Holly Holm in November 2015.
However, Holly Holm has lost two fights in a row to Valentina Shevchenko and Miesha Tate. Then Amanda Nunes picked up the TKO victory over Tate at the UFC 200 main event in July.
Nunes has won four fights in a row and has defeated Shayna Baszler, Sara McMann, Valentina Shevchenko and Miesha Tate.
