BROCK LESNAR WILL FACE MARK HUNT AT UFC 200
Las Vegas, NV (June 6th, 2016)– Former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar (5-3) will make his return to the Octagon on July 9 when he faces Mark Hunt in the co-main event at UFC 200.
Lesnar revealed his opponent Monday on ESPN.
Lesnar’s return to the UFC was announced over the weekend. He’s coming out of retirement after last fighting in 2011, when he lost to Alistair Overeem by TKO.
Lesnar, 38, said his decision to retire from MMA has haunted him ever since he re-signed with the WWE 15 months ago, and now he’s making his return to action for the first time in five years.
He will face Hunt in the new co-main event at UFC 200, which also features three title fights on the main card.
Hunt takes the fight with Lesnar on July 9 following two straight wins in the Octagon, including knockouts over Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva and former champion Frank Mir.
As of right now, Lesnar is only set to return to the UFC for one fight before returning to WWE, where he’s scheduled to make an appearance at SummerSlam in August.
