Boxing Professor Chuck Mussachio Returns! Claridge Atlantic City Boxing Card Preview

Atlantic City, NJ (May 23rd, 2016)– The comeback of cruiserweight Chuck ‘The Boxing Professor’ Mussachio, super middleweight Isiah Seldon, and cruiserweight Nick Kisner are the featured bouts on an eight bout card at Claridge Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey, promoted by Debra LaManna’s Rising Promotions, on Friday evening, May 27, 2016.
It will be the first bout in 27 months for Mussachio, 18-3-2 with five knockouts, Wildwood, New Jersey, who is predicted to win by six round decision over Willie Lockett, 14-16-5 with five knockouts, Tacoma Park, Maryland. Lockett holds upset wins over Julius Fogle, Joe McCreedy, Larry Marks and John Lennox. More recently, Lockett fought Jordan Shimmell and Ed Latimore earlier in 2016, fighters with a combined record of 29-1.
Heavyweight Isaiah Seldon, 8-1 with three knockouts, Somers Point, New Jersey, son of former WBA World Heavyweight champion Bruce Seldon, is favored by six round decision over Eddie Edmond, 4-4-2, one knockout, a Panamanian out of Newark, New Jersey. Edmund is coming off decision wins over Lionel Charles and Edson Jose Soto.
In the featured eight round main event, cruiserweight Nick Kisner, 16-2-1 with six knockouts, Baltimore, Maryland, is favored to win by eight round decision over 5-8-2 Lamont Capers, Hawley, Pennsylvania. Capers drew with both Dominic Walton and Alvin Varmall Jr. and won a decision over Josh Himes in 2015. Whatever the outcome, Capers figures to give a good accounting of himself.
Five undercard four rounders are scheduled. 0-2 welterweight Adrian Wilson of Atlantic City faces debuting Quan Johnson. 9-1 Philadelphia lightweight Anthony Burgin faces 4-2 Alexander Charneco of Puerto Rico. 2-0-1 heavyweight Quian Davis of Mays Landing, New Jersey, faces 0-1 Tim Hopkins of Philadelphia. Bantamweights Leroy Davila and Dominic Whitehurst will debut against each other. 3-0 Florida featherweight is also scheduled to appear on the card.
