MANNY PACQUIAO HAS BEEN FIRED BY NIKE FOR HIS ANTI GAY REMARKS
Los Angeles, CA (February 17th, 2016)– According to TMZ, the 37 year old former world champion was fired by Nike who had sponsored Manny Pacquiao since 2006. Here is what Nike had to say in the below.
“We find Manny Pacquiao’s comments abhorrent.”
“Nike strongly opposes discrimination of any kind and has a long history of supporting and standing up for the rights of the LGBT community.”
“We no longer have a relationship with Manny Pacquiao.”
Earlier this week, Pacquiao said gay people are “worse than animals.”
Manny Pacquiao later issued a public apology and his team tried to save the relationship with Nike, however it was too late.
