BRANDON RIOS DECIDES TO END RETIREMENT
Oxnard, CA (November 25th, 2015)– Just a few weeks after announcing his retirement, after getting stopped by Tim Bradley, Brandon Rios says he’s not going to retire after all. In fact, I don’t think we can even really consider it a genuine retirement in the first place, since it’s been less than three weeks since he was last in action.
According to a report by RingTV, Rios’ manager Cameron Dunkin said that Rios has been sparring this week and wants to give boxing one more legitimate try. Apparently Rios told Dunkin that he had to lose 53lbs in relatively short order to make weight for the Bradley fight and, well, you saw the kind of condition he was in. Dunkin also suggested that Rios was like the “walking dead” after shedding 35 of those pounds, which caused him to be terribly sluggish.
So Dunkin and Rios plan to give it another shot and hope to get Rios another fight in 3 to 4 months.
