Devon Alexander vs Aron Martinez PBC Preview

Glendale, AZ (October 12th, 2015) –Devon Alexander (26-3, 14 kos) will be fighting against Aron Martinez (19-4, 4 kos) on October 14th in Arizona at the Gila River Arena. Premier Boxing Champions will be live on ESPN October 14th at 6 PM mountain time.
Alexander has been in the ring with some of the most elite in boxing including wins over Lucas Matthysse and Marcos Maidana. His three losses are against A-level fighters including Amir Khan, Shawn Porter, and Timothy Bradley. But this will be the first time Alexander has stepped into the ring in 10 months. Will ring rust effect Alexander’s performance on Wednesday?
Aron Martinez has also been in the ring with some of the elite fighters in boxing including Robert Guerrero, Josesito Lopez, and Jessie Vargas. Unfortunately for him he hasn’t got a win over an A-level. Nevertheless, Martinez is not to be underestimated. For example, Martinez knocked Guerrero down in the 4th round. This was a fight that was expected to be an easy win for Guerrero, but he ended up winning a controversial win. Even though Alexander is favored to win on Wednesday he will have his work cut out for him.
In the co-main event Lee Selby (21-1, 8 kos) will be putting his IBF World Featherweight title on the line against Fernando Montiel (54-4-2, 39 kos). Selby is on a 17-fight winning streak while Montiel will be looking for his 9 consecutive win. Will Montiel’s veteran experience be too much for Selby or will Selby use his youth to force his will over Montiel?
This should be an exciting night of boxing in Arizona. Don’t miss Alexander vs. Martinez.
