WLADIMIR KLITSCHKO PULLS OUT AGAINST TYSON FURY DUE TO INJURY
London, UK (September 25, 2015)– Wladimir Klitschko’s world title defense against Tyson Fury has been postponed after the champion suffered a calf injury in training.
The two heavyweights came head to head in London on Wednesday when Fury appeared dressed as Batman during an entertaining press conference.
But their October 24 clash in Dusseldorf is expected to be moved to a later date at the same venue with Klitschko telling German newspaper Bild: ‘Of course I’m sorry, for my fans but also for my opponent Tyson Fury.’
Fury tweeted: ‘Well it’s official, Klitschko has pull [sic] out of the fight with an injury in his leg, it’s a bit funny as I predicted this would happen!!
‘Don’t feel sorry for me I’ll be OK. I’m sorry for the fans again as they are the biggest losers here. Flights & hotels travel, sorry guys.’
