Randall Bailey Boxing Manager Si Stern Dies at 81 in Key West

Miami, Florida (September 8th, 2015)– Noted boxing manager Si Stern, who loyally handled the career of World Welterweight champion Randall Bailey, passed away yesterday morning in Key West, Florida at the age of 81. Stern, a successful businessman, also handled the careers of super middleweights Marcus Upshaw, and heavyweights Roberto Alfonzo and Sherman Williams.

Only ten days ago, Stern made headlines when he got Bailey signed to Andy Kim’s AK Promotions in South Korea, in an attempt to restart Bailey’s boxing career. Stern is best remembered doe June 9, 2012, for jumping onto the ring apron as Bailey’s corner jumped for joy after his spectacular knockout of Mike Jones to win the vacant IBF World Welterweight title. Stern said “You’re the champion Randall!” perhaps his brightest moment in his career as a boxing manager to the chosen few he worked with.
