Abraham Lopez vs Jorge “King” Diaz Preview

LOS ANGELES (July 29, 2015) – Undefeated featherweight standout Abraham”Chamaco”Lopez (18-0-1, 13 KOs) will be fighting for LA FIGHT CLUB on FOX Deportes. This is Lopez’ first headlining event and his first appearance on the fan-favorite series LA FIGHT CLUB,when he defends his undefeated record in a 10-round featherweight bout against Jorge”king”Diaz (18-3-1) of New Brunswick, New Jersey. The August 6 bout on the popular series will also feature the professional debuts of three recently signed Golden Boy Promotion fighters: Hector Tanajara, Jonathan Navarro, and Joshua Franco
Abraham “Chamaco” Lopez wants to start making a move to the Elite level at 126 pounds, despite a draw against Juan Carlos Martinez in March, his fifth round Knockout of the 1996 Ghanian Olympian Alfres Tetteh in May proved that he’s ready for the next level of competition and with wins over Gabriel Tolmajyan and Aaron Garcia Lopez is looking forward to his next challenge against Jorge Diaz.

Jorge “King” Diaz from New Brunswick, New Jersey is looking forward to start 2015 on the right track with a. Win under his belt. Diaz most recently faced Luis Rosa, Ramon Ellis and Jose Haro in 2014. Professionally fighting since 2007, Diaz has remained busy and undefeated until 2010. He is hoping to begin a new chapter in his boxing career as he takes on undefeated Abraham Lopez.

Lopez will be coming to make a statement in his Home Town so Diaz needs to rely on his conditioning and allow Lopez to fire out in the later rounds opening up a chance for Diaz to capitalize on some points to hopefully land him a win by Split Decision.
In the co-main event, East Los Angeles native, Roy “Pit Bull” Tapia (10-0-2, 5 KOs) will return to LA FIGHT CLUB in a televised eight-round super bantamweight fight against Juan “Perla Negra” Hernandez (18-5-1, 9 KOs)of Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico. San Antonio, Texas’, Hector “El Finito” Tanajara will have a four-round super featherweight televised bout, and Jonathan Navarro, of East Los Angeles is scheduled for a four-round lightweight bout opening up the FOX Deportes telecast.
LA FIGHT CLUB: Lopez vs. Diaz Will be a 10-round featherweight bout presented by Golden Boy Promotions and sponsored by Corona Extra and Mexico – Live It To Believe It!. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. and the first bout begins at 5:30 p.m. The FOX Deportes broadcast will air live, Thursday, August 6 at 10:00 p.m. ET / 7:00 p.m. PT.
