Jordan “Jay” Adams to commentate Mitt Romney vs. Evander Holyfield Charity Boxing Match
Salt Lake City, UT – May 15, 2015 – Tonight, former Massachusetts governor and Presidential Candidate, Mitt Romney will face off against former heavyweight boxing champion, Evander Holyfield at the Rail Events Center in Salt Lake City. This Black-Tie fundraiser will benefit CharityVision, a humanitarian organization founded by retired Salt Lake physician Bill Jackson to provide medical equipment for poor areas and to fight curable blindness around the world.
Emmy award winning host Jordan “Jay” Adams and UFC Fighter Sean “The Real OC” O’Connell will call the action. The event will be emceed by Mario Lopez and also feature pro-fighters including Gary Cobia, Leon Spinks III and Wesley Capper.
Adams has commentated for many leading MMA and Boxing promotions worldwide and currently hosts two popular combat sports television shows, United Fight Alliance (UFA) and Jay’s Brawl Call, but said he has never witnessed a political candidate in the ring. “Mitt has his hands full with Evander,” stated Adams. “’The Real Deal’ is just that, being the only four-time World Heavyweight Champion, Evander holds notable victories over George Foreman, Larry Holmes, Riddick Bowe, Ray Mercer, Mike Tyson (x2), Michael Moorer, John Ruiz, Michael Dokes and Hasim Rahman and has 44 wins and 29 Knock Outs. Mitt has some wins in Massachusetts but all his punches were thrown in the state house.”
