On Thursday, June 4, The Belasco Theater will once again host another sizzling edition as undefeated top prospectJayson Velez (22-0-1, 16 KOs) will battle it out against Daniel “Huracan” Ramirez (11-1, 5 KOs), in hopes of continuing his winning streak in a 10-round featherweight bout.

Opening the telecast, undefeated Angeleno and local favorite Christian “Chimpa” Gonzalez
(9-0, 9 KOs) returns to The Belasco Theater for his second appearance at LA FIGHT CLUB
in a six-round super featherweight bout.

Philadelphia’s Eric “The Outlaw” Hunter (19-3, 9 KOs) is set to kick-off Memorial Day Weekend when he faces seasoned contender Antonio Escalante (29-7, 20 KOs) of El Paso, Texas on tonight in a 10-round super welterweight bout as the main event for Golden Boy Live on FOX Sports 1 and FOX Deportes fromFantasy Springs Resort Casino
in Indio, California.

In the televised co-main event, Southern California native and unbeaten featherweight Abraham “Chamaco” Lopez will face a yet to be named opponent in a 10-round bout. Tickets for the May 22 event will go on sale today, Thursday, April 30.

 

Also, added to the non-televised undercard, Antonio Gutierrez (18-0-1, 8 KOs) of Tijuana, Mexico will fight in a six-round middleweight bout against Paul Valenzuela (7-1-1, 5 KOs) of Santa Rosalia, Mexico. In the opening TV-bout heavyweight sensation Taishan takes on Hannibal, Missouri’s Lance Gauch (5-8-2, 3 KOs) in a 4-round heavyweight fight. In the second bout of the night is Glendora, CA’s Joet Gonzalez (9-0, 4 KOs) against the experienced Jose A. Beranza (36-32-2, KOs) of Mexico City, Mexico in an 8-round featherweight bout. Opening the evening of boxing action at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino is local Indio, CA fighter Darius Ervin (1-0) who will face Abraham Calderon of Los Angeles, CA in his professional boxing debut in a 4-round super welterweight fight.

In the co-main event, east coast undefeated rising star, D’Mitrius Ballard (9-0, 8 KOs) of Washington D.C., will fight in an eight-round light heavyweight matchup. Opening up the telecast Lamont Roach Jr. (7-0, 3 KOs) will face Christian Santibanez (3-4, 2 KOs) of San Antonio, Texas in a six-round lightweight event.

In the non-televised undercard, in a trio of respective six-round bouts, super featherweight Kevin “K-Smoove” Rivers, Jr. (11-0, 8 KOs) of Cheverly, Maryland, super lightweight Damon Allen (6-0, 2 KOs) of Philadelphia, and lightweight

Antonio Orozco and Ivan Morales both saw action last week on separate bouts in Phoenix, Arizona and Los Angeles, California respectively. Antonio Orozco faced a tough test in Emanuel Taylor on Friday, May 15 on the Jose Benavidez vs. Jorge Paez Jr. co-main event televised on TruTV. Orozco proved his relentlessness by taking a 10-round decision win over Emanuel Taylor in a high-pitched back and forth match-up that left the crowd asking for more!
 Meanwhile, at Inglewood, California’s The Forum Ivan Morales met Danny Flores on the non-televised undercard of Gennady Golovkin vs. Willie Monroe Jr. on Saturday, May 16. Ivan Morales took the win over Flores in an 8th round TKO to improve his record to 28-0, 16 KOs.
