Miguel Cotto Expects to Join Jay Z’s RocNation Sports

New York, NY (March 5th, 2015)– According to many sources familiar with the situation, Miguel Cotto will announce on ESPN today that he will sign a promotional contract with Roc Nation Sports. Cotto (39-4, 32 KOs) will join ESPN’s First Take to talk about the Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao May 2 showdown.
He will also talk about his own career and his new partnership with Roc Nation Sports. Since the talks for a potential mega fight with Canelo Alvarez broke down in January, Cotto’s camp insisted they had a plan for his next fight and his future, and that nothing had changed. After a successful launch of their “Throne Boxing” series in January and the same day announcement of the the Ward signing, Roc Nation Sports is set to make another splash with the signing of Cotto. It will be interesting to see the potential lineup of opponents in store for Cotto, but one thing is clear, the partnership with Roc Nation Sports will be bigger than just one mega fight.
