“Boxeo al Maximo” card to be held March 14th in Caguas, Puerto Rico
In another fiery whiff of short fuse ring dynamite , the rivalry between Mexico and Puerto Rico reignites, when Aztec, Roberto ‘ Azabache´Castañeda, who suffered defeat last year against “Wonderboy” Lopez, returns undaunted to Caguas, to face super bantamweight, Olrlandito del Valle.
The attractive card will be presented by Miguel Cotto Promotions and H2 Entertainment on March 14th at the Roger L. Mendoza Coliseum, and it will be part of the UNIVISION TV network boxing series, “Boxeo al maximo”.
Del Valle (18-2, 13 KO´s) last November, defeated Juan Jose Beltran. While Castañeda, (21-8-1 y 15 KO´s) is trying to get back to the wining path after the loss to Lopez. During the bout he proved his power as he send Lopez to the canvass 4 times in the 1st round.
This event will be the 2nd chapter of the Boxing Series “Boxeo al Maximo” as part of an agreement between Cotto Promotions and Univision, both of whom have pledges to present a card per month. The inauguration episode was celebrated on February 7th at the Guillermo Angulo Coliseum, and it as starred by the same, “Wonder Boy” Lopez, drawing with Josean Figueroa.
“ We have been working the last two years at the series “Boxeo Boricua” which was focused in developing Puerto Rican talent” explained promoter Hector Soto.“ but “Boxeo al Maximo” is an international series, so we’re going to bring fighters from Mexico and other countries. In the next episode we are going to rekindle the rivalry between Mexicans and Puerto Ricans offering supreme quality bouts!
