Donald Cerrone vs. Ben Henderson at UFC Fight Night Boston
Las Vegas, NV (January 6th, 2015)– After defeating Myles Jury last weekend, Donald Cerrone was looking to return as soon as possible, even if it meant next month in Denver. He will now be in the cage this next weekend against former champ, Ben Henderson according to Dana White’s official Twitter account.
Ben Henderson was scheduled to fight former Bellator Champion, Eddie Alvarez, however Alvarez suffered an injury.
Henderson and Cerrone have fought twice before back in the WEC days. Their first fight at WEC 43 and Cerrone lost by decision and in the second fight in WEC 48, Henderson finished Cerrone by Guillotine Choke. This time Cowboy Cerrone (25-6) is on a 6 fight winning streak. Ben Henderson (21-4) is coming off a controversial KO stoppage loss to Rafael dos Anjos.
The bout will serve as the co-main event of the night with the featherweight fight between Conor McGregor and Dennis Siver.
