Ultimate Reno Combat 49
Fri Dec 5 11:00PM ET
Click here to watch this event on GoFightLive!
Northern Nevada’s #1 cage fighting event returns as “Ultimate Reno Combat 49” premiers live on GFL.tv, December 5, at the Reno Events Center in Reno, Nevada. Voted the #1 Amateur MMA Event in the Nation, URC always showcases the top up and coming fighters from around Nevada and California. URC 49 will be no different as the very best in the amateur ranks will compete in the cage where Blood Happens! If you can’t be there live in Reno, experience the thrill of every punch, kick, takedown and submission via the comfort of your home. Stream it live only on the GFL Combat Sports Network.
In the main event, for the URC Lightweight Championship, Danny Ramirez (7-1) battles Delorean “D-Lo” Heaivilin (8-0). Ramirez is the URC Champion at Welterweight, and is cutting down to fight for another title. Ramirez is a URC vet and has had numerous battles inside the cage where he has shown a scary standup game and KO’d or TKO’d 5 opponents. Ramirez packs dynamite in both hands and can end any fight he’s in with one punch. Ramirez loves to bring the fight to his opponent and set the pace early on and his power will be even more dangerous in a lighter weight class. Heaivilin won the Lightweight Title back in 2011 and that was his last fight. This will be his first fight in more than 3 years and he is stepping right back into the cage where he left off, fighting for the URC Lightweight Title. Heaivilin is an undefeated grappler/striker who is a fan favorite among the Reno crowd for his fast-paced fighting style. All 8 of Heaivilin’s wins have come via stoppage either TKO or submission and he will be looking to get back to his old ways against Ramirez on December 5. Heaivilin is very dangerous off of his back with armbars and triangle chokes and that could play a big part in the fight against the bigger Ramirez.
In other action, Aarason Perry (4-2) returns to the URC Cage. Perry previously fought for a title with URC and is looking to get back into title contention. He will need an impressive win here after suffering back to back tough decision losses. Perry is a top notch athlete who has dispatched 2 of his opponents by KO and also shown a very strong grappling game and an ability to grind down his opponents over the course of a full fight. Perry is one of the most sought after fighters in the area because of his fast paced style.
Auttumn Norton (5-2) is also ready to throw down in Reno. Norton won the URC Bantamweight Title back in 2013 and will look to defend her title. Norton won the title via KO in 18 seconds. Norton has never had a fight go the distance and her all-around game makes for compelling action inside the cage.
Watch the champions of tomorrow compete today! Don’t miss this loaded event with loaded mixed martial arts fight as Northern Nevada’s “Ultimate Reno Combat 49” comes to you live on GFL.tv on December 5.

Island Fights 31 – Brok vs Sok II
Fri Dec 5 8:00PM ET
Click here to watch this event on GoFightLive!
One of the Gulf Coast’s premier cage fighting organizations comes to GFL.TV on December 5 as Island Fights Presents “Island Fights 31” from the Hadji Shriner Temple in Pensacola, Florida. Island Fights always puts on jumbo cards and this event is no different.
Brok Weaver (5-1) takes on Socrates Sok Pierre (5-2) in a rematch from earlier this year. Weaver was victorious via second round submission and looks to continue his path up the ranks with another decisive win. Weaver is a strong wrestler that grinds his opponents down and can wear them down in a hurry with his aggressive style. Weaver is also a strong grappler and if the opportunity presents itself, he can end the fight via tapout like he did with his first meeting against Pierre. Weaver has never been stopped. Pierre comes into the fight looking for revenge as he feels he wasn’t at his best in the first fight. Pierre is won 4 fights in a row prior to his defeat against Weaver and looks to get back to his winning ways. Pierre is an athletic fighter who throws tons of kicks and his ground game is solid so he doesn’t have to worry about fighting from his back. Pierre is great in transitions and working out of harm’s way. He will look to hurt Weaver with strikes and try to wear Weaver out with his standup. This was fight of the night at “Island Fights 27” and these two promise to pick up where they left off.
In featured action, Chris Barnett (11-1) battles Darrill Schoonover (13-6) in a heavyweight throw down. Barnett is on a 6-fight win streak ending 5 of those fights via TKO. Barnett is a handful for anyone in the division and his power punching makes him dangerous until the final bell. Barnett also has a solid chin so he can wade through punches from his opponents and deliver his own punishment. Schoonover is another heavy handed pro with 7 wins coming via TKO. Schoonover is also a solid grappler and if the fight hits the ground he will look to transition to some form of choke as his RNC and guillotine are both great weapons. Expect fireworks when these two gargantuan gladiators start throwing hands.
Dillon Cleckler (7-0) battles Bellator vet Richard White (16-16) in another heavyweight tussle. Cleckler has won all of his fights inside of two round and 6 of those wins have come in the first. Cleckler is a powerhouse in the heavyweight division and brings KO power with every punch he throws. White is a durable vet and will be the toughest test of Cleckler’s career. White’s last fight was a submission win against UFC vet Sean McCorkle and White looks to make some more noise by giving Cleckler his first loss. White fights with a fast paced, high reward-high risk style that has made him a fan favorite everywhere he’s fought. Don’t blink when these two warriors lock horns.
Don’t miss this thrilling mixed martial arts card featuring some of the top fighters from the Gulf Coast. Watch the champions of tomorrow compete today on this stacked card as Island Fights delivers “Island Fights 31” on December 5, streaming live on pay-per-view exclusively at GFL.TV!
