SEVEN FIGHTS IN TRIPLE CROWN SHOW THIS SATURDAY, DECEMBER 20, AT EL SAN JUAN RESORT AND CASINO IN PUERTO RICO
With seven fights was completed the Triple Crown, which will have the International Boxing Federation (IBF) superflyweight elimination bout between contenders McJoe Arroyo and Mark Anthony Geraldo this Saturday, December 20, at the International Ballroom of El San Juan Resort and Casino in Isla Verde, Carolina, Puerto Rico, in a PR Best Boxing Promotions (PRBBP) presentation, to be broadcast on DIRECTV Pay Per View.
In the main event, 2008 Puerto Rican Olympian, McJoe Arroyo (15-0, 8 KOs), the #2 IBF ranked at 115 pounds, will face Mark Anthony Geraldo (31-4-3, 14 KOs ), from Philippines, who is ranked #9 by the IBF I the superflyweights.
In a co main event fight former two-time WBO junior lightweight WBO, Roman “Rocky” Martinez (27-2-2, 16 KOs) will face an opponent to be announced in 135 pounds and scheduled to 10 rounds.
Another co-feature bout will be between former world title challenger Jose “Chelo” Gonzalez (22-1, 17 KOs) and Antonio Joao Bento (27-14-2, 15 KOs), from Portugal. This 10 round fight is for the WBO Latino lightweight title.
Meanwhile, former welterweight and junior middleweight WBO female champion, Costa Rican Hanna Gabriel (13-1-1, 9 KOs) will face Mexican Paty Ramirez (10 -1, 5 KOs) for the vacant WBO junior middleweight title.
Three four-round bouts complete the event. Roberto Rivera (2-3, 1 KOs), from Bayamon, will face Edgardo “El Indio” Rivera (6-2-2, 5 KOs), from Arecibo at lightweights, debutant Felix Perez will fight against Jean Carlos Lopez (1-0) in the super bantamweight division, and Gustavo Ortiz (1-2-1) will face debutant Roy Mendez at flyweights.
