Tony Tubbs and Son To Appear on Lebanon Pro-Am Minaya Promotions Boxing Card

Lebanon, PA (November 29, 2014)– A rare Northeastern appearance by former World Boxing Association World Heavyweight champion Tony ‘TNT’ Tubbs will highlight a scheduled ten bout professional and amateur card at the Eagle’s Club in Lebanon, Pennsylvania on Saturday evening, November 29, 2014, presented by Minaya Promotions and Blyweiss Boxing Club.

Tubbs is the trainer of his son, cruiserweight Antwaun Taylor, who will appear in the four round preliminary to the main event. Taylor, Cincinnati, Ohio, 0-1 as a professional, will fight in a four rounder against Randy Easton, 2-5-1 with two knockouts, Williamsport, Pennsylvania, a local Marshall Kauffman fighter who lost a close controversial four round split decision in his last outing to Jon Bolden two weeks ago in Chester, Pennsylvania.

The main event will feature light middleweight James Robinson of York, Pennsylvania, 2-1-2, one knockout, in a six rounder against 3-7 Danny Lugo of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Blyweiss boxing gym cruiserweight Darnell Hayes will open the pro card by making his professional debut against 3-0 Demetrius Banks of Detroit, Michigan, in a four rounder.

The tentative six bout amateur card will feature outstanding local talent. Antonio Haywood of the Blyweiss Boxing Club will fight Manny Ramirez of King’s Gym at 165 pound novice. Jonathan Oquendo of King’s Gym will battle Quintin Vetter of Lincoln Way Boxing at 140 pound novice. Shawn Zimmerman of Blyweiss Boxing Club will fighter a fighter to be announced at 201 pound novice. Rashid Jefferson of Philadelphia Gym will fight a fighter to be announced at 75 pound novice. Lebanon’s Jonathan ‘Chico’ Acosta of Blyweiss Boxing Club will fight Miguel Velez of Allentown Boxing Club at 145 pound open. Jaser Carrington of Philadelphia Gym will fight a fighter to be announced at 75 pounds novice.

Doors at Eagles Club, 116 North Eighth Street, Lebanon, Pennsylvania, open 6 P.M., first bout 7 P.M. VIP Tables are available in advance on request.
