Sparta Combat League returns on October 17 on GFL with “MMA Action”, a stacked MMA card from the Denver Mart in Denver, Colorado. This event promises to be full speed from bell to bell as some of the best fighters in the Rockies will step into the cage to square off against each other.
In the main event, for the SCL Middleweight Title, Champion Adam Stroup (6-2) takes on Jason Lee (7-5) in a rematch from a fight this past July. Will it be validation or redemption? In the first fight, both men landed heavy shots, but Stroup was able to use his size advantage and turn the tide and score with some solid knees that dropped Lee in the second round. Lee regrouped but was met with another knee that dropped him a second time and Stroup finished the fight on the ground this time with a flurry of ground and pound. The point of contention on Lee’s part is that some of the knees that led to the finish were low. SCL heard the controversy and ordered an immediate rematch between these two titans of the cage. Look for Stroup and Lee to pick up right where they left off and expect a barnburner when the SCL Middleweight Title is up for grabs!
Sparta Combat League is sure to bring down the house once again as they have quickly grabbed a chokehold on Mountain West Muay Thai and MMA and this show will continue in that tradition. Order “MMA Action” and watch live and anytime on video on demand only on GFL.tv.For full fight card and more details about this event, visit gfl.tv or click here

Cage Soldiers comes to GFL with “Cage Soldiers 2” from the Core Strength Fitness on 8 Norval Court in Maroochydore, Australia on October 18. The full rules Muay Thai and MMA card is anchored by fierce competition.
In the main event, Scott Thorburn takes on Dalton Jenkins. Thorburn has been on a tear lately and continues to build on his already well rounded game. Thorburn will look to connect with solid kicks, knees and punches as he is well versed in mixing up his combos. Jenkins is blessed with an iron chin and hands of stone. Look for Jenkins to start the fight with a bang as he will try to earn the respect of Thorburn in the opening seconds with his barrage of strikes. This fight will be a barnburner with both men looking to land one, picture perfect haymaker and end their opponent’s night.
Boy “Wonder” Pramaree fights Mark Lucchiari in a 74 kg bout that has the region buzzing in anticipation. Pramaree is a grinder who loves to take his time when breaking down his opponents. Pramaree uses pinpoint striking to keep his opponents on the defensive and will look to do just that against Lucchiari. Lucchiari fights with a fury of ill will as he looks to put his opponents through the ringer. Lucchiari is relentless once the bell rings and is happy to mix it up in the center of the ring for the full fight. This contrast in styles makes for an interesting fight where the fighter with the better game plan will have a decided advantage.

Canada’s longest running MMA show returns on October 18 as Rumble in the Cage presents “RITC 50” at the South Pavilion Exhibition Park in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada a stacked 13-bout pro/am card full of exciting bouts. Rumble in the Cage is a breeding ground for international talent and “RITC 50” will showcase some of the rising mixed martial artists across Canada.
In the main event, Derek Boyle (11-7) fights Shawn Fitzsimmons (7-9) in a lightweight scrap. Boyle is coming off 2 consecutive wins and is looking to continue his climb up the ladder in RITC. Boyle is a heavy handed brawler who has won 5 times via KO. Look for Boyle to mix it up early and try and land haymakers to finish the fight in quick order. Fitzsimmons goes for broke from the opening bell and his high risk-high reward fighting style is sure to be on display on October 18. Fitzsimmons has KO power and solid submissions and 6 of his 7 wins have come via stoppage. Be ready for a shootout.
In the co-main event, Spencer Rohovie (10-7) battles Craig Jackson (5-2) in the lightweight division. Rohovie is one of the most exciting fighters in the region as only one of his 17 fights have ever made it out of the first round. Rohovie has fought all over Canada and built a reputation as a gritty fighter who always shows up in shape and ready to fight. Jackson, who is coming off a submission win in his last fight will look to keep the momentum going as he will come straight towards Rohovie and look to mix it up in the center of the cage. Jackson always starts fast and will look to push the pace and overwhelm Rohovie.
In another pro bout, in the featherweight division, WSOF vet Maged Hammo (5-4) takes on Morgan Littlechild (3-1). Hammo is an experienced vet and has never turned down a fight. Hammo’s best weapon is his cardio and fighting at featherweight will only make him that much more dangerous as he will also be able to rely on his strength in this division as well. Littlechild is on a 3-fight win streak and a win over the dangerous Hammo will make everyone take notice of Littlechild. There is a lot riding in this fight for both men who are looking to fight for a title sooner than later.
